Everything you need to know before sitting in my chair. Please read through these carefully.

Deposits & Payments

Hair Extension Appointments

All new-set extension appointments require a 30% deposit at the time of booking. This secures your appointment slot and confirms your commitment. It will be deducted from your total on the day.

Please note: Deposits for extension appointments are non-refundable and non-transferable. If you cancel or change your mind, the deposit will be forfeited as your appointment time has been exclusively reserved and preparation has been made for your service.

Cancellations & Late Arrivals

I completely understand that life happens. If you need to reschedule, please give me at least 72 hours notice so I can offer the spot to someone else.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of your appointment may result in forfeiture of your deposit. Repeated no-shows or late cancellations may require full prepayment for future bookings.

If you are running late, please let me know as soon as you can. Appointments that start late may need to be adjusted to stay on schedule for other clients.

Appointment Etiquette

Due to limited space in the salon, I kindly ask that you arrive to appointments alone. This helps me give you my full attention and keeps the salon comfortable for everyone.

Pricing

All prices listed on this website are a guide based on standard lengths and applications. Your final quote may vary depending on factors assessed on the day, including hair density, condition, desired length, and the amount of product required.

I will always discuss pricing with you before beginning any service. If additional work is needed beyond what was originally quoted, I will let you know and get your approval before proceeding.

Colour Services

Expected Outcomes

Hair colour results depend on your starting point, including previous colour treatments, box dye history, natural pigment, and overall hair condition. I will always be honest with you about what is achievable in a single session.

If your hair requires multiple sessions to reach your desired result safely, I will outline a plan and timeline during your consultation. Rushing the process can compromise hair integrity, and I will never put the health of your hair at risk for the sake of a result.

Important: Please disclose your full colour history at your consultation, including any at-home or box colour, henna, or colour-depositing products you have used. Undisclosed colour history can affect results and may limit what I can safely achieve.

Health & Disclosure

Your Responsibility to Disclose

Before any treatment, please let me know if you:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • Have any scalp conditions, sensitivities, or allergies
  • Are taking medication that may affect your hair or skin
  • Have had any recent chemical treatments or procedures on your hair

This information helps me tailor your service safely. If a relevant condition is not disclosed prior to treatment and a reaction or adverse outcome occurs, I cannot be held responsible.

Adjustments & Refunds

Post-Service Adjustments

If something doesn't look or feel right after your appointment, whether that's colour, blending, or length, please reach out to me within 3 days of your service. I want you to love your hair and I'm happy to make adjustments.

Refund Policy

Once hair extensions have been applied, I'm unable to offer refunds for change of mind. Extensions are custom-ordered for each client, cut and blended specifically to suit your hair, and for hygiene reasons cannot be reused, resold, or returned once installed.

If extensions are damaged through mistreatment, use of unapproved products, or exposure to excessive heat, this falls outside what I can take responsibility for.

Your consumer rights: Nothing in these policies limits or excludes the guarantees provided under the Australian Consumer Law. If a service has not been carried out with due care and skill, or if there is a major failure, you may be entitled to a remedy including having the service re-performed or receiving a refund. Hair Extension Care

Product Restrictions

To keep your extensions in the best possible condition, please avoid products containing:

  • Sulphates
  • Parabens
  • Proteins
  • Keratin
  • Silicones
  • High alcohol content

I'll walk you through everything during your appointment and recommend products that work beautifully with your extensions.

Environmental Care

Chlorine and saltwater can shorten the life of your extensions. If you're swimming, please wear your hair up or use a protective product beforehand. A quick rinse with fresh water after is always a good idea.

Quality & Lifespan

I use 100% Human Remy Double Drawn hair of the highest grade. With proper care, your extensions can last approximately 9 to 12+ months. This depends on how you care for them, including avoiding heat damage and using the right products.

Aftercare Guide

You'll receive a detailed aftercare guide during your installation appointment. It's also available to download at the bottom of the website. If you ever have questions about caring for your hair between visits, send me a message.

Photography & Social Media

Content Consent

I love sharing my work and may take photos or short videos of your hair during or after your appointment for use on my social media, website, or marketing materials.

I will always ask your permission before photographing you. If you would prefer not to be featured, just let me know and I will absolutely respect that. You can also request that previously shared content be removed at any time.

By consenting to photos or videos during your appointment, you grant Pamela Pilakis Hair a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use that content for promotional purposes across social media, the website, and marketing materials.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters to me. This policy explains how I collect, use, and protect your personal information when you book with me or use this website.

What I Collect

Personal details: Your name, phone number, email address, and any service preferences you share when booking an appointment or making an enquiry.

Service history: Details of previous treatments, colour formulas, and extension specifications so I can personalise your future visits and maintain consistency.

Health information: If you disclose any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions relevant to your treatment, this is recorded for your safety.

How I Use It

Your information is used to provide and improve the services you receive, manage your bookings, and keep accurate records of your hair history. I may also use your contact details to send appointment reminders, aftercare tips, or occasional updates about new services.

Who Has Access

Your personal information is kept confidential and is only accessible to me and any authorised staff involved in delivering your service. I do not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties unless required by law.

Data Security

I take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. Digital records are stored securely and physical records are kept in a controlled environment.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information I hold about you
  • Request corrections to any inaccurate information
  • Opt out of receiving promotional communications at any time
  • Request deletion of your personal information, subject to any legal obligations I may have to retain it

By booking an appointment with Pamela Pilakis Hair, you agree to the terms outlined across these policies. This agreement covers what you can expect from me and what I ask of you.

Quality of Service

I am committed to delivering every service with due care and skill, using professional techniques and high-grade products. I stay current with training and industry standards to give you the best possible result.

All products used in the salon are premium, salon-grade formulations selected for their quality and compatibility with hair extensions.

Honest Consultation

Before any service, I will assess your hair and discuss realistic expectations with you. If I believe a particular service or outcome isn't suitable for your hair type or condition, I'll be upfront about it. My priority is the health of your hair and your satisfaction with the result.

Scheduling & Timeliness

I do my best to stay on time for every appointment and minimise any waiting. Extension appointments are booked with generous time slots so nothing feels rushed. If anything changes with your booking, I'll communicate with you as early as possible.

Communication & Feedback

I genuinely welcome feedback. If you have any concerns during or after your appointment, please speak up. The sooner I know, the sooner I can help. For post-service concerns, please reach out within 3 days so I can assess and adjust if needed.

Health & Safety

The salon is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. All tools are sanitised between clients and I follow current health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for everyone.

If you have any allergies, sensitivities, or medical conditions that may be relevant to your treatment, please let me know before your appointment so I can take appropriate care.

Limitation of Liability

While I take every care to deliver exceptional results, outcomes can vary depending on your hair's individual condition, history, and how you maintain it between visits. I am not liable for damage, unexpected results, or dissatisfaction caused by:

  • Use of unapproved or incompatible hair products
  • Failure to follow aftercare instructions provided
  • Services performed on your extensions by another salon or stylist
  • Excessive heat styling or chemical treatments not performed by me
  • Failure to disclose relevant health, medication, or hair history prior to treatment
  • Undisclosed previous colour treatments, box dye, henna, or colour-depositing products that affect the outcome of a colour service
  • Unrealistic expectations that were discussed and managed during consultation

My maximum liability for any service is limited to re-performing the service or providing a refund for the service fee, as applicable under Australian Consumer Law.

Consumer guarantees: This agreement does not limit or exclude any rights or remedies you have under the Australian Consumer Law, including consumer guarantees relating to the supply of services. Where a service does not meet a consumer guarantee, you are entitled to a remedy as provided by law.

Acceptance

By booking and attending an appointment with Pamela Pilakis Hair, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the policies and terms outlined on this page. These terms may be updated from time to time, and the current version will always be available here.
